Dear Yana

Beautiful hat and Brioche a facinating stitch.

I am almost 60 years old and was taught by my dad to knit many years ago. With health, kids, many moves, work etc my knitting was one of many loved pass times that fell by the way.

In the last one to two years however I have picked it up again, doing baby toques and mitts for the newborns at our tiny hospital. (I am a paramedic).

Brioche is a new stitch for me and I found it very difficult to wrap my brain around. Didn't feel so bad when reading comments from others about how hard they were finding it. But I stuck with it and have now mastered it, last nite......even doing about 3 inches of 2 color (pink and white) it is beautiful.

I was hopping back and forth between two sites yours (with the (darkblue and off white) and megan.cc and noticed a possible miss print in yours that threw me......... it is the K row with the light yarn, the sl1,yo did not give me the set up for K2tog. I struggled and than did a comparison and found the other site instructs (yo,sl1,,K2tog) I tried that and BINGO I was back in business...yours instructs (sl1,yo).

I would hate for anyone to give up on the stitch because they have not searched enough to single this out.
I just thought you should know. And if I am missing an opportunity to do the stitch and have it work out let me know I will try it again. :)

Knitting again (with two colors thanks to you)

Hi Yana,

I can't get the decreases right - how can crown round 1 and 5 be identical, if you've decreased stitches in the earlier rounds??

Hope to hear from you!

I love this pattern and can't wait to make it.
Just thought I would mention that the last crown round is numbered Crown round 34 (light yarn) which seems wrong. Should it be 37, dark yarn? What do I know, I'm a rookie.
Thanks for the pattern though.
